Microsoft Planning Big Things for November 22 Xbox One Launch

by on November 13, 2013

Team Xbox are planning their launch festivities for the coming of the next-generation. Across 13 countries, in over 10,000 shops, there’s going to be a party, of sorts.

On November 22 at 12.01, many retailers are expected to welcome fans in their doors for the Xbox 360’s successor. Spike TV will be airing a special broadcast at 11pm ET/8pm PT in the States, but worldwide fans will be able to catch it on both Xbox.com and on Xbox Live.

As well as participating stores like GAME, Tesco, EB Games, Best Buy and FNAC letting the rabid Xbox faithful through their doors, six Microsoft stores will be holding Killer Instinct tournaments, which you can read about here.

On top of celebrity appearances and musical performances happening all over the globe, Microsoft plan on turning New York City into a spectacle as zombies, supercars and Roman soldiers will all be on hand, with the first 1000 people in line outside Best Buy Theatre receiving a special Macklemore and Ryan Lewis performance.

Similarly, by Milk Studios in LA, the first 500 to buy an Xbox One or Xbox One game will be serenaded by Deadmau5.

Basically, wherever you are in the world, November 22 will probably belong to Microsoft and the launch of Xbox One.
