First Screenshots for Tales from the Borderlands Released

by on May 5, 2014

It may be a bank holiday here in the UK, but that doesn’t mean Telltale Games aren’t going to drop some screens from their latest (of many) upcoming games.

This is an interesting game, because with the pre-sequel for Borderlands 2 just announced, as well as Borderlands 2 coming to PS Vita this month, it seems as though Gearbox’s franchise is still very much flavour of the month.

It’s worth noting that the press release Telltale sent us also mentions the game is set for a “summer” release – so not long to wait, we’d say.

Here’s the official information on the game, including the tidbit that there are two playable characters:

Featuring two playable characters, the story is told from two unique perspectives that will alternate as the story progresses. These characters include Rhys, a scheming, low-level data-miner within Hyperion who’s plotting his own grand ambitions; and Fiona, a clever and classic fast-talking con-artist born and raised on Pandora out to pull off the grift of a lifetime.

While they themselves aren’t vault hunters, both Rhys and Fiona will also come across vault hunters such as Zer0 and other characters from the world of Borderlands 2 throughout the series, as all events in Tales from the Borderlands will be part of the official Borderlands story canon.

Check out the screens along with the original announcement trailer below, and let us know what you think.
