Bungie have revealed what you can expect to find when you crack open Destiny’s first downloadable expansion, due to launch December 9th, we also have a price, and it aint’ cheap..

The expansion has been priced at $19.99 or £19.99 in the UK. Given that twenty quid will equates (at time of writing) to roughly £12.50, its easy to see who is getting the better deal. UK Gamers will be paying roughly half what they bought the full game for in the first place, do they get around half of the amount of content bolted onto the game? Obviously not, but you can save a bit of money if you plump for the season pass, at £35, which gets you access to both the planned expansions.

The light level cap is being raised to 32, and there will be additional armour and weapons available. Bungie are also adding three new missions into this expansion, along with the requisite loot opportunities.The expanded story missions will focus on a new character, Eris;

Eris, has come forth bearing an ominous warning: The Hive seek to summon a god, Crota, to destroy the Earth. Find Eris in the Tower to take on special quests that include three new missions where you will increase your Light and earn new rewards

The expansion will also add three new multiplayer arenas, Pantheon, Skyshock and The Cauldron – set in a Vex temple, an interplanetary defensive array, and an Hive ritual site, respectively.
