Warframe’s First Major Update of 2015 Hits

Digital Extremes have announced that the first major content update for Warframe, the free-to-play action game, on PC is now available.

The new update, entitled Sanctuary, brings new gameplay, new weapons and a new Warframe, to the ever expanding game.

The content drop includes:

  • A quest for the new Chroma Warframe, who can alter his damage output by changing his. colour. You can see him in action here: 
  • An update to the PvP. With PvP 2.0 there are three new maps, new challenges and a few new changes. Teshin your new PvP guide, and the Conclave Syndicate have established their presence in the Relay. Syndicate rewards await for Tenno who compete in the Conclave, studying under Teshin’s sigil.
  • A new game mode allows you to create squads of eight players and work through mission challenges together.
  • A new quest, named The New Strange, which sees you work with Cephalon Simaris to find the source of a mysterious voice. You must work with Simaris to track it down and find out what it is.
  • Two new weapons: Kohmak: a hand shotgun. Ripkas: three motorised saw fists.
  • A new relay room
  • Finally, a new enemy. The Grineer Manic, which quickly strikes you before falling back into the cover of shadow.

Sanctuary is free to download now for PC users, but players on the PS4 and Xbox One will have to wait a few weeks until all the new content comes to them.
