Did you know you can still check playtime on the Nintendo Switch?

One of the cool little features of the Wii U and 3DS that appears to not have been brought over to Switch is the ability to check playtime for each individual game, and day.

On first glance, this doesn’t seem present on Switch, but it actually is, albeit in a rather awkward way.

You may remember Nintendo announcing that it is going to handle party chat via third-party apps on SmartPhones, well, without making a song and dance about it, the company has done this with play time as well.

On iOS you need to download the “Parental Controls” app, seen below:

switch parental controls

Download that, set it up and make it so you don’t need a PIN to actually play the console (unless you want to, that is), and that’s pretty much it. You’ll soon be able to check your daily (and monthly) stats, as below.
