Bethesda planning “Year of DOOM” to celebrate the franchise’s 25th birthday
Want to feel old? The original DOOM is 25 years old. I know.
To celebrate this milestone, Bethesda are launching the Year of DOOM, which will involve some exclusive content, rewards, events, contests and more. Details are a little scarce at the moment, but the company has urged fans to stay tuned over the coming weeks for more information.
So whether you’re a fan of DOOM from way back in 1993, or first battled hell in Doom (2016), look out for what’s to come.

As you’ll notice, at the end of the video, Bethesda is encouraging players to join up to the Slayer’s Club on their website. If you do, you’ll earn the exclusive Zombie DOOM Slayer skin for DOOM Eternal when it releases on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on December 28, 2018.
