New skateboarding game Session heading to early access

by on August 13, 2019

A new skateboarding game, Session, is on its way to PC and consoles courtesy of creā-ture Studios.

Session is inspired by the “golden era” of skateboarding, which falls between the 90s-2000s. Sessions main aim is to try and get accross the real skateboarding experience with a focus on creativity, hard work, perseverance and madness. To be honest skateboarding without the madness would probably be boring.

PC players will get to try out stance-stick controls with each stick contolling a foot. This should replicate skating and highlight jst how difficult switch tricks are.

Session will take place in New York, focussing on lower Manhattan, and is a 1:1 replica of the area. You’ll also get to skate around places like Brooklyn Banks and the surrounding Financial District.

If skating in New York wasn’t enough you can also use the in-game extended video editor to put together some gnarly trick montages to share and show off. To nail the 90s look the videos will also have the VHS aesthetic.

Session will be released on Steam Early Access on September 17, 2019 with the Xbox One Game Preview version arriving a few weeks later. The full version of Session should be released in early 2020.

There’s also a trailer to go along with the early access announcement just below this.
