Phil Spencer Is Xbox’s New Boss
In a huge piece of industry news, Microsoft have finally found a successor to Don Mattrick, and that is Phil Spencer, the former Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Game Studios.
An employee at Microsoft for other 25 years, Phil will be overseeing all aspects of Xbox, including LIVE, Xbox Music, Xbox Video and Microsoft Studios, helping to ensure that the Xbox brand continues to be successful.
In a post on Xbox.com from the man himself, a New Day at Xbox is promised, with all Xbox-related teams to be combined in the hope of “strengthen the connection between some of the world’s most innovative creators and those building the Xbox itself.”
He also notes that we’ll be hearing some more news at E3 on what the future holds for Xbox.
