Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 Doesn't Shy Away from Brutality in the War Crimes: Bosnia TrailerA little while ago we posted the first gameplay video for City Interactive’s sniping opus, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, and we were fairly impressed by the demonstration. While the proof of the pudding is always in the eating, we can’t help but be slightly more enamoured since watching the latest trailer.

Having the game powered by the frankly beautiful cryENGINE3 is likely enough to have put it on the wanted list for many gamers, but the fact that it actually looks pretty damn good might come as something of a surprise. The latest trailer, entitled Brutal War Crimes: Bosnia, pulls no punches as it depicts point blank executions, stealth kills and massive explosions, promising an exciting, cinematic experience.

While we’re not the sorts to get overly excited about a game we haven’t played, we must admit that the more we see of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, the more intrigued we are. The original was something of a cult phenomenon, shifting an impressive amount of units despite lacklustre reviews, but it looks like City Interactive have taken notes and, more importantly, taken pains to correct some of their previous mistakes. Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait to find out if the changes have paid off.

Check out the gameplay trailer below.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and Windows PC in Europe on January 15th.
