Metal Gear Rising getting Exclusive VR Missions on PS3

Metal Gear Rising getting Exclusive VR Missions on PS3Konami may have exhausted their reserves of news and updates for the forthcoming Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance – what with the trailers that they seem to be releasing every few days – but it seems that Sony had at least one more announcement stuffed up their sleeves.

On the Official PlayStation Blog, it has been revealed that there will be a DLC pack of 30 Virtual Reality VR training missions that will be exclusively available to those who purchase the game on PlayStation 3.

Featuring a mix of combat training, tactical manoeuvring  stealth-based approaches and more, these missions will both provide practice in which to hone your skills in original stages not seen the in the game’s campaign, and feature an eclectic mix of challenges that any veteran of METAL GEAR SOLID 2: Substance or METAL GEAR SOLID: VR Missions would come to expect. And, in an interesting twist, you’ll be able to take control of the much loved/hated Dwarf Gekko in the VR Missions.

This will be quite a throwback to the original Metal Gear Solid VR Missions, and looks certain to add an extra layer of challenge to those gamers who really want to test themselves. Get your first look at the VR Modes  in some new screenshots below:
