PopCap Launches Plants vs. Zombies For The PlayStation Network

If you were about to log into the PlayStation Network thinking to yourself ‘finally, somewhere I can go and play videogames without having that interactive crack, Plants vs. Zombies, looming over me’ then, unfortunately for you, things are about to change.

PopCap has confirmed that it is launching the massive-selling and award winning Plants vs.Zombies on the PSN.

This latest adaption features two multiplayer modes, twelve achievements and over twenty mini-games. If you aren’t familiar with the basics of the game by now then you clearly haven’t spent enough time in an Apple Store fiddling around with the demonstration iPads but, for the uninitiated, the game sees the player, armed with an arsenal of mutant plants, defending a house against an ever strengthening mass of the living dead.

On the PlayStation 3 multiplayer is available in both co-op and versus modes. Players can show their progress by accessorising their in-game house and comparing it with their friends houses on a virtual street. Graphics are at full 1080p resolution and all the modes from the original version of the game are present and correct.

The only thing to ask yourself now is “am I going to buy the fourth version of this game?” Well, if you haven’t kicked the Plants vs. Zombies habit by now, you probably never will. So start logging in to the PlayStation Network and killing those zombies. Again.
