Body Count Returns With Thrash Tribute To Gears; White America Panics

When he is not pimping hoes and suchlike, legendary rapper Ice T likes nothing more than berating the old bill with his schlock-thrash act Body Count, whose canon includes the tremendous “Cop Killer” and of course “KKK Bitch”. But Ice also likes to play videogames apparently – in particular a bit of Gears Of War. So when word reached his crib that a third installment of the uber-franchise was on its way, the Pimp Daddy of thrash rounded up his old BC homies to produce a fitting musical tribute. More on this incredible day for music, and indeed the human race, follows, along with the rocktacular video.

Just when you thought “Gears of War 3’s” Horde mode couldn’t get any more intense, Microsoft and Epic Games today released an explosive new gameplay trailer for the upcoming blockbuster, featuring an exclusive new track from Body Count, entitled “The Gears of War.”

After getting the band together for a surprise concert during E3 at the “Gears of War 3” Horde Showcase, fans the world over are now getting their first taste of Ice-T’s lyrical contribution to the final chapter in the “Gears of War” trilogy based on his experiences as a hardcore “Gears” player himself.

“I’ve always been a big fan of the game and got to play a lot of the new one during development,” said Ice-T of Body Count. “I play the character Griffin so when I was invited to also record a new track, the lyrics came pretty quick.

Body Count’s “The Gears of War” and the game’s official soundtrack will be available in conjunction with the launch of “Gears of War 3” later this autumn.

Gears Of War 3 is available exclusively for Xbox 360 on 20th September 2011. Ice T will pop a cap in your ass if you don’t pick it up.
