EA Mobile win Best Game Publisher at the Mobile Entertainment Awards 2011

by on November 24, 2011

EA Mobile have been announced as the winner of Mobile Entertainment magazine’s “Best Mobile Games Publisher” 2011, which makes it the fifth year in a row that EA has won the award (EA Mobile won it in 2007, 2008, and 2009, while Chillingo, who were acquired by EA, won it in 2010).

The awards were hosted last night at the Royal Garden Hotel in London (I’ve seen pictures of the hotel, it’s very swanky), and in receiving the award EA has become the company that has won this honour the most.

Bernard Kim, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for EA Interactive, had this to say about EA Mobile’s win:

“Our focus has always been on delivering the highest quality games across devices. That’s not an easy mission but it’s extremely rewarding to know we’re bringing the best entertainment to our fans.”

To celebrate their win EA have announced a ‘Big Thanks’ sale, which features discounts on a variety of EA games for iPad, iPhone, iPod and Android. Games which are in the sale can be find both in the iTunes App Store and the Android Market. Also, between now and January EA will be adding more gaming offers for iPad, iPhone, iPod, Android devices, Kindle, Sony Ericcson Xperia Play, Blackberry Playbook and more (that’s a lot of devices). So if you’ve had your eye on a particular EA Mobile game for a while, now seems like a good a time as any to pick it up.

In commemoration of their award EA have also created a special video, which you can see below.
