Harmonix Announcing New Game Tomorrow, But it’s Not What You’d Think

by on June 4, 2013

Over on the official Harmonix Music Twitter account, they’ve informed everyone that they’re announcing a new game tomorrow.

However, hold your horses, as they specifically say that it’s NOT Rock Band, and it’s not Dance Central.

Harmonix is announcing a new game tomorrow (it’s not @RockBand or @Dance_Central). Stay tuned for the exciting news!

So really, we’re all pretty much in the dark here. We’d love to hear your thoughts as to what it might be, though? We’re assuming that Dance Central will make an appearance for Xbox One sooner or later, but this “new” game appears to be something else entirely!

UPDATE: Harmonix has announced that this new game is Fantasia: Music Evolved, coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360. The Kinect controlled game is inspired by the old Disney film and will feature artists such as Bruno Mars and Queen. The basic premise of the title sees players manipulating songs by adding tracks to original/remixed recordings. It all sounds a little too PixelJunk 4am to me. The game will be playable at E3 and the as of-now track listing reads as follows:

  • AVICII – Levels
  • Bruno Mars – Locked Out Of Heaven
  • Fun. – Some Nights
  • Kimbra – Settle Down
  • Queen – Bohemian Rhapsody
