PvZ 2 Delayed in EU and US So Oceania Residents Can Test Servers

by on July 10, 2013

Plants Vs Zombies 2: It’s About Time was delayed recently and some information has surfaced as to why.

In an interview with Polygon, senior producer Allen Murray said that this delay is due to more testing at PopCap in order to ensure that server capacity, cloud saving and the in-game shop are at optimum quality, prior to release.

The game has been released in New Zealand and Australia due to the fact that it’s a smaller region and the developer can truly test the backend without crashing everything in a larger territory like the US or Europe.

A release date of July 18 was originally touted as the game’s arrival, but the more vague “late Summer” is now the scheduled launch.
