Dark Souls II – Forge Your Own Hero In A Closed Beta

by on August 24, 2013

While I’m not masochistic enough to indulge in the world of Dark Souls, I know that quite a few of my GIAG colleagues, and many of you readers, are. So listen up, for I have some good news to report.

Ahead of Dark Souls II’s March 2014 release, Namco Bandai are giving fans an opportunity to take part in a closed beta later this year, for PlayStation 3 owners. Keep an eye on the game’s Facebook page for further announcements, as you’ll be advised how you can sign up, very soon!

In other Dark Souls II-related news, Namco Bandai have taken cosplay to the extreme by asking “armour specialists” Armedia to recreate the armour worn by Dark Soul II’s hero. In a video narrated by comedian, actor and Dark Souls addict, Peter Serafinowicz (Spaced, The Phantom Menace, Look Around You); we see how a blacksmith gets to work on forging the armour, based on concept art taken directly from From Software.

Thanks Namco Bandai. Thamco Bandai.

Dark Souls II will be released in Europe on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, sometime in March, 2014.
