Gary Neville Signs for EA Sports in Ambassadorial Role

by on August 30, 2013

EA Sports have today announced that ex-Manchester United and current Sky Sports pundit/commentator has joined them in an ambassadorial role. Neville has surprised many non-United fans and has emerged as one of the best pundits on Sky TV, so this is a good news situation for everyone.

One of the things he’ll be doing, is contributing a regular bi-weekly colum on EaSports.com/uk/FIFA, where he’ll look at players from the Premier League that are in-form. He’ll also discuss the hot-topics of the week in Football.

Neville said of the deal:

It’s great to be working with the team at EA SPORTS. FIFA has become such an integral part of football culture that I hope to bring benefit to the fans. FUT really is a phenomenal success and you can see why as we all like to think we can manage an Ultimate Team of superstars, I can’t wait to see myself out on the (digital) pitch again.

Shaun White, EA Head of UK PR commented:

We’re delighted to have signed Gary for the 2013/14 season. His knowledge of the game is unrivalled and we’ll be working together to give FIFA 14 players a deeper insight into the real world of football that will enhance their FIFA Ultimate Team experience.

Gary will also be one of the Legends that will be included with the Xbox One version of FIFA 14, as he goes on to explain:

Also I can’t finish without saying how delighted I am to have been included as one of the original Legends for the Xbox version of FIFA 14. The list is a real who’s who of the past 30 years and it’s great that EA SPORTS considered me worthy to go in the game.
