Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 multiplayer beta coming January 14

The EA studio, PopCap Vancouver has today announced that the hotly anticipated Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 will host a public access multiplayer beta from January 14, and will run until January 18.

The beta will give you access to Backyard Battleground which is an all-new dynamic battleground that links you to the various maps and modes, including Flag of Power, which is a King of the Hill-inspired mode. There will also be six new playable character classes including Rose, Citron and Kernel Corn for the planets, and Super Brainz and Captain Deadbeard for the zombies.

You’ll get to play classic and brand new game modes with 24-player multiplayer battles, including Garden and Graveyards to battle in, and the new Herbal Assault which features plants on the offensive. Finally, there’ll be four new immersive maps to play in, including Moon Base Z and Frosty Creek.
