Capcom has today released a new trailer and developer update video packed with new details on Monster Hunter Worlds up coming expansion Iceborne.

The latest update provides an overview of newly confirmed subspecies variations of monsters as well as a look at the new gathering hub as well as gameplay improvements and additions.

The trailer provides a peek at the wyvern Fulgur Anjanath that channels lightning instead of fire and the fanged wyvern Ebony Odogaron that has a wider attack range and dragon elemental.

The new gathering hub is based in Hoarfrost Reach and offers more centralised facilities and features. “My Room” is accessible and features new personalisation options such as furniture, decor and colours with a post-launch plan to allow other players to visit each other’s spaces.

Gameplay options add flexibility for multiplayer hunting parties with scaling difficulty which will adapt for a two-player team if others have dropped out. Palicoes will also receive an update with new gadgets such as the Shieldspire Stooge which acts as a decoy to draw monsters attention away from the player, the Meowcano, a giant jar that shoots out fireballs at enemies, and an enhanced Vigorwasp that can revive players immediately back into battle if they faint.
