eFootball PES 2020 has exclusive rights to River Plate

by on August 13, 2019

Konami has confirmed more exclusive team rights for its upcoming sports title eFootball PES 2020. You can now play as River Plate and Boca Juniors, and relive your own Superclásico in the game. This is in addition to Juventus, who have already been confirmed as exclusive this year.

The demo for the game is available now, and you can find out more information on how to get involved by following the link here.

Konami has also renewed the league license of SuperLiga Quilmes Clásica. All 24 clubs from the league will feature in this year’s release and the agreement will allow for use of all associated iconography from each of the clubs.

Last year’s outing, PES 2019 was a bit of a mixed bag, as you can see from our review. It was still a good game, but it’s fair to say last year it lost some ground to FIFA 19. Let’s hope this new iteration moves the series forward and puts a serious challenge in for our attention and the top spot.

eFootball PES 2020 will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC-Steam on September 10, 2019, in America and Europe but Japan will have to wait until September 12, 2019.
