Enjoyed the Hitman: Absolution Run For Your Life Video? Now check out the Director’s Commentary

Hitman: AbsolutionIO Interactive casued quite a stir with the impressive Hitman: Absolution video – “Run for your Life”, that they released a couple of weeks ago. The video showed off the new Glacier 2 engine in full flow, and let gamers take a look at both the traditional Stealth aspect of the title, as well as the more action-orientated moments.

Well now, the development team have gone back and added an additional layer to that video. We can now listen to an accompanying soundtrack to the video, where Game Director Tore Blystad and Gameplay Director Christian Elverdam provide us with a DVD-style commentary track. The seventeen-minute video allows us to go behind-the-scenes and get a different take on the “Run For Your Life” action that thrilled gamers previously.

In the video, fears that the game would be too action-packed are allayed somewhat, and we get a look at how sections can be played in a gung-ho way, or with an element of stealth. As with all previous Hitman titles, the gamer decides how the game will play, to an extent. The experience of each user will be very different – depending on their tastes. And that is what makes the Hitman series so interesting.

Check out the new video below:

Hitman: Absolution is set to release early 2012 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
