FIFA 18 on Switch will be 1080p 60fps docked and 720p 60fps portable

We’ve gotten more details for a variety of big third party releases on Switch at Gamescom.

Digital Foundry spoke about their time with Skyrim and Psyonix announced some exclusive content for Rocket League. One of the biggest releases of the year, FIFA 18, is coming to Switch on September 29 and it looks to be running brilliantly on Nintendo’s handheld and home console hybrid. In a clip that you can watch below, we learn that FIFA 18 will be 1080p 60fps in docked mode and 720p 60fps in handheld mode on the Switch. Watch the clip 13:00 onwards below:

We know that the Switch version will not be on the Frostbite Engine but it still looks damn good in the footage above. It will be interesting to see how both EA, Nintendo, and most importantly consumers react to FIFA 18 on Switch.

FIFA 18 releases on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 29.
