Duke Nukem Forever Demo Incoming June 3 For Pre-Order Customers

by on May 17, 2011

Gearbox Software has released another announcement video regarding Duke Nukem Forever today, but fear not, it isn’t yet another delay to the already massively delayed title, but instead an announcement to let fans know that a demo is going to land on June 3 across all platforms. Obviously there is a catch to such a fantastic announcement and the catch is that those wanting to be a member of the First Access Club, as Gearbox call it, will have to have pre-ordered Duke Nukem Forever at a selected retailer. Alternatively, customers can get access by purchasing the Borderlands GOTY edition.

Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford had us going for a second there — the last thing anyone wanted to see was another delay to Duke’s return. Keep reading for details of participating retailers and to see the announcement video for yourself.

Several retailers are offering entry to the First Access Club. UK customers can order at Amazon, GAME, Play, Zavvi, TheHut and Gamestop.ie (Ireland only) while US customers also have the option of Amazon as well as GameStop. A full list which includes other countries is available on the official website. Check out the video below, but beware of the age gate.

Duke Nukem Forever releases June 10 in the UK and June 14 in North America for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
