Stunning New Hitman: Absolution Debut Trailer

by on June 9, 2011

After having confirmed the game and shown mini teaser trailers for the last few months, IO Interactive finally got the chance to showcase their latest title in ther Hitman series to the press at E3. As well as offering a playable stage – where Agent 47 tries to escape capture by a host of Policemen, whilst racing through an abandoned library in Chicago – Square Enix have released a cinematic debut trailer, which looks almost life-like. The trailer shows Agent 47 infilitrating a private residence – picking off guards as he goes, only to be confronted by a woman who whispers his codename, in an English accent. Is this his former handler?

After what happened in previous title Blood Money, Agent 47 is bound to want to exact revenge on those who tried to kill him, so it makes sense that he might track down his former contact and ally. You can see the video for yourself below:

Hitman: Absolution is scheduled for release in 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
