Killer Freaks From Outer Space Landing On Wii U

by on June 10, 2011

At E3, Ubisoft announced such a wide variety of different and exciting titles – one that seems to have flown under the radar of most is Killer Freaks From Outer Space. Designed specifically and exclusively for the the forthcoming Nintendo Wii U console, the game will make the most of the new touch screen control pad. Two players will be able to go head-to-head at the same time, with the first using a regular control pad, controlling a human hero – who is trying to wipe out all aliens – in a first-person perspective, the second player using the new touch screen pad to direct their army of alien troops from a top-down map view.

Xavier Poix, managing director of Ubisoft’s France studios said: “When we realized the potential of what Nintendo was offering by creating a tactile controller, we were off and running immediately… Having that extra screen in the hand of the player allows us boundless innovation that ultimately gives the player a more beautiful game, a faster game interface, a personalized game experience, and so much more.”

And Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft added that: “When Nintendo launches a new console, it’s always a big milestone for the industry and a great opportunity for creativity… Killer Freaks will make the most of all the fantastic capabilities of the Wii U and provide hardcore players with a gaming experience like no other they have seen or played before.”
