Remember Me - TGS 2012 "Combo Lab" TrailerThere are a ton of reasons why 2013 is set to be a great year for games, and one of them is Remember Me, the Deus Ex-y, Uncharted-y, Blade Runner-y action thriller from Capcom and Dontnod Entertainment.

Set in Neo Paris in a future where it’s possible to hack a person’s memories and “remix” them to confuse, influence and even indirectly kill them, Remember Me follows Nilin, a “memory hunter” who recently had her own memory remixed and is suffering amnesia as a result. On a mission to find out why she was betrayed by her own company, she’ll employ guns, boots and everything her former employer taught her to crack open the conspiracy.

In this new trailer revealed at the Tokyo Game Show, we’re given a 6-minute tour of the Combo Lab, Remember Me’s unique menu designed to create melee combos on the fly to deal damage, regenerate health and take down multiple enemies fluidly.

With over 50,000 possible combinations of moves (or “pressens” for some reason), it looks like a malleable, personal affair and should ensure some impressive potential for tactical brawling. It’s one more reason we can’t wait to get our paws on Remember Me next year. Enjoy.

Remember Me is being developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Capcom. It is expected to launch in Q2 of 2013.
