Resi 6 Will Have Three Additional Online Modes Post LaunchIt’s less than a month away to the highly anticipated release of Resident Evil 6. Many fans are going in excited, many are approaching with caution – regardless, I’m sure a lot of Resi fans will be happy with Capcom’s most recent announcement.

Three new online modes will be available via DLC after the game arrives; Survivors Mode, Predator Mode and Siege Mode. All of the aforementioned multiplayer modes will utilise Mercenaries maps and will support up to six players.

Survivors Mode is much like the solo and team-based versus mode, but with a swerve. One you are killed, you respawn as an enemy and your goal then becomes to attack the human characters. Once you dispose of two humans, you become a human again. Just like real life. The last person or team left standing, enjoys the spoils.

Predator Mode sees one player become Ustanak. Ustanak is the big bad bio organic weapon that tries to do nasty things to Resident Evil new boy Jake Muller, in his story mode. Whoever takes on the role of Ustanak must obliterate the other players – who are playing as humans – and the other player’s goal is to either destroy the B.O.W, or survive the match.

Siege Mode is the final mode announced by Capcom today. While part of the human team, players will have to protect an NPC and whilst part of the the enemy team, players will have to kill that same NPC. Whoever completes their goal in the alloted time, wins.

On top of the three separate campaigns, Resident Evil fans will be sinking tons of time into all of this multiplayer DLC too. Roll on October.

Resident Evil 6 will be released on the 2nd October for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A Windows PC version will also be released at a later time.
