Bandai Namco have announced the start of the DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE Majin Buu event. With access to new content and the ability to earn a lot of Dragon Stones, it’s a good time to jump into the mobile game.

Leading interactive entertainment publisher and developer BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Inc. has kicked off a Worldwide Campaign for the wildly popular action puzzle title, DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE. The new campaign offers limited-time access to a new Story Event inspired by the Majin Buu saga of the Dragon Ball Z anime series as well as the opportunity to summon Goku & Vegeta (Angel) and Majin Buu (Gotenks) for a limited time. During the five week-long campaign, players can also take part in a Special Event once every 7 days, allowing them to earn up to a maximum of 100 Dragon Stones.

The Dual Dokkan Festival introduces two powerful characters: Goku & Vegeta (Angel) and Majin Buu (Gotenks), who will acquire incredible offensive and defensive capabilities and Active Skills upon being Dokkan Awakened to Legendary Rare (LR) status. By activating their Active Skills, Goku & Vegeta (Angel) can fuse into the powerful Super Vegito, while Majin Buu can use his absorption powers to become Majin Buu (Ultimate Gohan).

In addition to the new characters, the story events of the Majin Buu saga will come alive for DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE players through the “Showdown! The Ultimate Final Battle” story event. By battling through the Story Event of the Majin Buu story, players can clear stages to recruit Goku and Hercule, who can be Dokkan Awakened to become Super Saiyan 3 Goku and Hercule/Majin Buu (Good), respectively, via stages that will be added later during the campaign period.

DRAGON BALL Z DOKKAN BATTLE combines intense action puzzle game experiences, elements of classic board-games, and character deck creation featuring fighters from across the immensely popular DRAGON BALL universe.”

I always thought the Majin Buu saga was hugely unappreciated. I love the big pink blob and his childish antics, so any event based around his arc in the anime is fine by me. I’ve been hankering for some Dragon Ball content after the wonderful Kakarot early this year, so I might be downloading a free to play app today.
